Location: Mahwah, NJ Production Plant.
Number from plant: 557,229.
Engine: L6 223, 1v.
Transmission: 3 speed manual on column.
Steering: Manual.
Brakes: Manual.
Suspension: Leafsprings/shock.
Rearend: Ford 9 Inch w/392:1 gear.
Today: 1980 302 w/9.5:1 dometop pistons, mild Crane cam, Edelbrock Street Performance intake, 600 cfm Edelbrock 4 barrel, Mallory electronic ignition, Borg/Warner 5 Speed in floor. The original 392:1 rearend puts the rubber to the road. It still has factory leaf spring/shock suspension, rebuilt manual brakes and manual steering. Next on the list, get bed for truck, bed floor complete wood and chrome. Suprisingly this is not an everyday salvage yard item. May design custom wood side rail bed.

Man, cool truck. One of my favorite years, and yours is very nice. Congrats on the first place, and the $10,000.00 interior looks great. What size tire and wheel do you have on front and back? They really complete the truck nicely.

Today I entered my truck in my first ever car show. The cars and trucks ranged from 41 model stock Chevy truck, 1950-1980 stock cars, pre 1950 stock cars and trucks, tuners, race ready hotrods, all in all there were 60 entrants. I got First place in my class (classic truck, 1950-1980, modified). They called my name and I just stood there, then I realized it was me. Thanx for allowing me to join this site. Rick
